You may recall a video of Kylie Jenner from the beginning of the year where she predicted that 2016 would be the year of ‘realising stuff’.
It was a super important prediction because, as we all now know thanks to Kylie, 2016 definitely was the year of realising stuff. Was it a realisation worth a Presidential Medal of Freedom though? Probably not.
President Obama gave out his final batch of medals this week – an honour bestowed on people who’ve made ‘an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavours.’
This year’s ceremony happened on Tuesday and honoured, among others, Ellen DeGeneres, Tom Hanks, Robert De Niro, Bill and Melinda Gates, and apparently also Kylie Jenner. We assume ‘realising stuff’ comes under national interests.
Despite the obviously Photoshopped tweet though, Kylie didn’t actually win the highest civilian honour in America. Even if she did make all those lip kits.
Unfortunately, that didn’t keep people from actually catching on to the fact that there’s no way in hell Kylie Jenner could have been awarded a Medal of Freedom.
For those who were wondering, the photo is actually of Barbara Streisand, who won the Medal of Freedom in November 2015.
But that didn’t stop Kylie’s fans from going ape shit.
If you thought Justin Bieber’s fans were bad, wait until you see Kylie Jenner’s.
oh my god, i can't believe this happened. congratulations?

Thankfully, the lip kit queen herself responded to the photo, putting her sorely mistaken fans to rest:
Translation? ‘Shut the fuck up. Laughing my ass off’. Sounds like even she knows how ridiculous it looks.
Now the real question remains: What does 2017 hold for Kylie now that stuff has been realised?
