Say what you like about President Donald Trump but he certainly knows how to stay relevant.
Whether it’s through staring directly into the sun, grabbing ’em by the p*ssy, or claiming his nuclear buttons are bigger than Kim Jong-un’s on Twitter, he always manages to get his face in the papers.
So what’s the latest covfefe? Oh you know, just a subtle hint of totalitarianism. YIKES.

Last night, March 3, the reality star turned president of the ‘free world’, made an eerie claim to fellow Republicans, during a fundraiser which was closed to the public, reports VT.
He was speaking about China’s leader, Xi Jinping – who very recently downright refused to give up presidency or acknowledge China’s two term limit.
So what did Trump say:
He’s now president for life. President for life. No, he’s great. And look, he was able to do that. I think it’s great. Maybe we’ll have to give that a shot someday.
CNN leaked audio of the worrying speech and now people are more than just a little bit anxious:
Imagine if Obama praised China's President for claiming all the power and essentially becoming a dictator for life and saying it's a good thing. How many patriotic Republicans would laugh and say, "Oh, that kidder, that Obama."

What if Hillary Clinton promised to seize guns without due process, launched a trade war because she was cranky, joked at a fundraiser at her private estate about becoming president-for-life, mocked her disgraced son-in-law, and asked Bill if he still loved her at a press dinner.

President for Life Trump? No POTUS should ever EVER even joke about ignoring the Constitution to make himself dictator–if it was a joke. Couldn't you see Trump trying it under certain circumstances? I can.

Oh look, the guy who has explicitly praised Xi, Putin, Erdogan & Duterte—while attacking the press, scapegoating minorities, surrounding himself with generals and family members, and calling to jail his political rivals—publicly entertains his fantasy of being president for life. https://t.co/UV85CK1zuO

Republicans are claiming Donald Trump meant the claim as a joke, but as you can see, others aren’t thinking along the same lines.
If he’s being even slightly literal, then it seems Trump, who has already announced he’ll be re-running for election in 2020, is quite happy to go directly against the constitution and quite literally become a dictator, definitively.
Then again – he’s already gone somewhat against the constitution when he told lawmakers to act first, deal with legality issues later, saying: ‘Take the guns first, go through due process second’.
What’s to stop him doing something completely irrational again?

Is Trump just an egotist, quite happy to push his roll as far as humanely possible to see just how extreme things can get before he parts ways with life?
Who knows. We’ll never know.
