Ed Sheeran has revealed his injuries from Monday’s biking accident are much worse than first feared.
The 26-year-old singer was hit by a car on Monday morning while cycling through the streets of London.
Posting a photo on Instagram of his arm in a sling, Ed appeared to have broken his right arm.
The snap was captioned:
I’ve had a bit of a bicycle accident and I’m currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows.
Please stay tuned for further news. Ed x

Unfortunately for fans who were hoping Ed would have a speedy recovery, the singer has revealed on Instagram the full extent of his injuries and this is now unlikely to happen.
And not only is it bad news for Ed, but for the thousands of fans planning to go to his live concerts as they are now cancelled.
Ed captioned the photo of his broken arm:
A visit to my doctors confirmed fractures in my right wrist and left elbow that will leave me unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future.
Sadly, this means that the following shows will not be able to go ahead as planned: Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
I’m waiting to see how the healing progresses before we have to decide on shows beyond that.
Please stay tuned for more details.
PS – Ed isn’t typing this as he has both arms casted/bandaged.

The singer was later spotted looking downcast leaving hospital with both arms in slings.
As if his day wasn’t bad enough, some ‘fans’ slammed Ed for cancelling the gigs, unable to hide their distress that they would not see their man main in action.
One idiot commented:
So you let down all these people that have paid to see you just because you did that.
I’m so disappointed. I thought the concert was okay because you can stand and sing even though without playing guitar… The fans have been excited to see you for ages.
This USA leg of the tour ends today, been a very fun 4 months, will be back here next year the stadium tour which I'm super excited about. Off to shoot a music video tomorrow for Perfect and then we go to Asia for 6 weeks for shows, which I'm excited about too. Thanks to everyone who's come to the shows so far, and thank you to @jamesblunt for being a fantastic opening act. Me and him at the beginning of the tour said we would eat 1000 wings by the end and by golly we did. Here's a picture of me giving a panda a lift home x
This fan was also not very happy:
Soooo…. did you break your legs as well!?! And also, I was unaware you’re the only one who can play your tunes on guitar #justsayin.
Come on guys, he did get hit by a car and has damaged both of his arms! It isn’t exactly Ed’s fault!
A representative for the star, in response to these complaints, told The Mirror:
Ed’s gutted he won’t be making these shows. Ticket holders are encouraged to wait for further information about upcoming shows and rescheduling.
So hold onto your horses before you complain.
Ed recently finished the US leg of his tour and was looking forward to touring Asia.
His dates in Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong have been cancelled.
Later dated gigs in the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand will depend on the speed of his healing process.
The last dates for 2017 are penned in for November 19 in Mumbai, India, and November 23 in Dubai.
