Conor McGregor Coach Fires Shots At UFC Following Jon Jones Drugs Test

It was only a matter of time, but a member of Conor McGregor’s camp has fired shots at the UFC following the pulling of UFC 200’s main event.

Jon Jones was dropped from the UFC’s bicentennial show after an out-of-competition drugs test from June 16 was flagged by the USADA.

Conor McGregor was originally scheduled to headline the landmark event at the T-Mobile Arena on Saturday night, but was removed following a dispute with the organisation over media obligations.

His coach John Kavanagh wasted no time in rubbing a bit of salt in the gaping wound…

Dana White was not going to let the comment stand unchallenged either…

The coach from Dublin’s Straight Blast Gym then suggested the latest developments were all part of his plan…

McGregor unfortunately won’t be able to save the day this time round, he will next fight at UFC 202.

But there have been plenty of offers from other fighters to step into the Octagon and keep Daniel Cormier on the card.

For now the event’s success would seem to rest squarely on the shoulders of Brock Lesnar and Mark Hunt…
