Conor McGregor Will Face Lawsuit If He Does This One Thing In Mayweather Fight

Well after last night’s confirmation arguably the most highly-anticipated fight in years is taking place in just over two months time on August 26.

Call it a farce, call it the fight of the century, it’s going undoubtedly to be a mega event with lots of talking points, before, during and after the ‘show’.

However, it’s been discovered that if the UFC Lightweight champion Conor McGregor does this one thing in the super-fight with Floyd Mayweather, he’ll be facing a hefty lawsuit.

The UFC’s current lightweight champ has agreed to fight the greatest boxer of his generation, Mayweather, in a bout rumoured to be worth $500 million.

McGregor, who’s martial arts skill set saw him crowned the UFC’s first ever two-weight champ last year, will have to rely solely on his boxing ability.

If he so much attempts to kick Mayweather, then the Irishman will be facing a lawsuit.

UFC president Dana White revealed McGregor adores his money too much to even try it, according to The Mirror:

That [kicking] will not happen –  it’s in the contract.

This is a boxing match, under the Nevada commission, under the rules of boxing.

We talk about a guy of Floyd Mayweather’s value in the sport – the lawsuit if that ever happened…

Conor loves money and he would lose a lot of money if that happened.

McGregor won the lightweight belt last November, beating Eddie Alvarez 11 months on from an emphatic 13-second KO of Jose Aldo, which saw him claim the featherweight strap.

However, he’s never fought a professional boxer, let alone one of the greatest ever and Mayweather is unbeaten in his previous 49 contests.

I Think the general consensus from boxing and UFC fans is that it’ll be over for McGregor in the early rounds – but it is the fight game and one punch is all it takes.

One thing’s for sure, EVERYONE, (even if they don’t admit it), will be tuning in…if they decide to stump up for the PPV of course.

Bring on August 26!
