It’s the fight we seem to have been talking about for millenia. The $500 million super-fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather.
While the fight between the five-weight boxing world champion and the world-recording holding UFC champ remains unconfirmed, talk of the battle has never been higher.
This is almost definitely down to the fact it only recently emerged Mayweather had booked Las Vegas’ MGM Grand for August 26. Did someone say summer super-fight?
In the past, 40-year-old, Mayweather, who remained unbeaten in 49 fights (equalling the record of his hero, Rocky Marciano), claimed he would come out of retirement to fight the Irishman.
However while the Notorious already has defeats on his record, it would be impossible to say that he doesn’t look to be in crazy shape ahead of the possible boxing bout.
Posting to Twitter, McGregor shared the below snap:

He definitely looks ready for the test of his life.
Already it has been confirmed that if the bout goes ahead it will be boxing, not MMA, a sport McGregor has never fought at professionally. And what a first fight that’ll be for the Crumlin boy.
Personally I think the fight’s a waste of time. They’re both incredible athletes at very different sports – however that isn’t to say that the bout won’t be an insane spectacle. You just know it’s gonna deliver.
