Conor McGregor Responds To Sparring Partner Photo Leak Controversy
Another day, another comment from either the McGregor or Mayweather camp in the build up to their August bout.
This time however, McGregor hasn’t taken a pop at Floyd, he’s turned his attention to another fighter.
It’s the turn of former WBA welterweight champ Paulie Malignaggi to be on the receiving end of the Irishman’s abuse.
It all started when the UFC star enlisted the help of the former champ to help with his transition from octagon to boxing ring.
Yet the duo’s sessions quickly became heated, even causing legendary ref Joe Coretz to intervene during one of their practice sessions.
Now, Conor McGregor has claimed that in training, Malignaggi:
Got his ass whooped!
Malignaggi has since quit McGregor’s camp, as a number of images surfaced appearing to show McGregor knock down of the former boxer.
Despite claims from 36-year-old Malignagi that the pictures didn’t show what really happened, McGregor says he demolished his former sparring partner.
On Showtime’s All Access, The Notorious said:
He stayed in there – you’ve got to give him respect for that, but that was it – he came, he got his ass whooped and that was it.
Earlier in the episode, Malignaggi warned Conor that although he knows what he’s doing:
If he sets the same trap over and over again Floyd will see them – that’s the thing to work on.
McGregor is considered a heavy underdog for his debut boxing match against Mayweather – possibly the greatest fighter of our generation – with a staggering record of 49-0.

With the fight just three weeks away, British bookies have slashed odds for the UFC star, fearing an upset may be on the cards but one thing’s for sure, whatever happens come August 26th, we’re in for an entertaining night!
