Conor McGregor Reveals Ridiculous Career Change After Retirement From Fighting

Conor McGregor has hinted at a very different career path after he retires from fighting.

The UFC superstar is currently in New York with his girlfriend Dee Devlin to attend the Ladies Children’s Hospital of Crumlin 7th Annual ‘Best of Ireland Gala’ dinner in the city.

But as he flew out to the US, Conor McGregor reflected on a few things.

I run New York.

On his Instagram, he posted a photo of himself on the plane, with the caption:

You must be switched on at all times with your money.  We cannot switch off here.

Know your money and where it is going at all times and never ever go broke, trying to look rich.

This is coming from me. I am the most flashiest. I just posted a picture on a yacht sipping Fiji water from an ice cold glass before this. But trust me!  I am the most intelligent also. Everything is a tactical move. Everything.

Now as I get older at 29 years of age, I find that I am becoming more and more interested in where much of the money in my home state has gone and where it actually goes when it comes in.

There are more and more things I see daily that do not add up.

I see many things I do not like and I see many things that I feel can be easily amended under correct instruction.  We shall see. Stay woke at all times kids.

And along with that, TMZ Sports claim he’s told them he’s open to try his hand at a career in politics.

They said they spoke to him about his post while he was in New York and asked if he was interested in a politics job.

He reportedly told them:

Maybe, who knows?! I know they’re shakin’ in their boots anyway.

And when the reporter our guy tried to ask McGregor about a fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov … McGregor ‘immediately brought up Floyd Mayweather’, saying he ‘needs to fight again’.

Just last week McGregor responded to a video Mayweather had posted on Twitter – which saw the boxer in an MMA cage.

According to TMZ, Mayweather rented out the entire Syndicate MMA gym in Las Vegas on Monday (January 29) for a private workout session.

Of course Mayweather and McGregor previously met in the boxing ring, but is this a sign they are going to meet in the cage?

While Mayweather posted his video on Twitter, it’s unclear as to whether he is MMA training or just getting a boxing workout in there.

The Notorious saw the video… and responded with:

Hahahaha very good. Keep up the good work my son. Yours sincerely, Senior.

Followed by a delightful photo of himself and his son, he tweeted again, with the caption: ‘F**k the Mayweathers.’

The McGregor/Mayweather match last year was the biggest sporting event of 2017, as well as the second highest grossing boxing pay-per-view of all time, so it’s no surprise the gang are wanting to get back together.

Two months after their fight, which saw McGregor was KO’d by Mayweather in Las Vegas, the Notorious laid down the gauntlet once more.

The UFC Lightweight champion has said he would be up for another bout – but on his turf.

Then to ring in the new year, McGregor seemingly reignited his ‘feud’ with the boxer after posting a tweet about a ‘funeral home’.

It’s not actually clear what he meant by his tweet, which reads:

Shin bone to the cheek bone. The rule set kept you out the funeral home.

In December, it was reported Mayweather was apparently in talks with the UFC about a huge – and very real – fight in the Octagon.

UFC President, Dana White, has described this exciting, yet unprecedented prospect, as being a ‘realistic possibility.’

I’m pretty sure this’ll happen, it has to, surely?
