The fight of the century hasn’t even happened yet, but Dana White already has big pans for Conor McGregor back in the Octagon.

After The Notorious meets Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather in the boxing ring in August, UFC Lord Overseer, Dana White has further hinted that McGregor will fight Khabib Nurmagomedov in his hometown of Russia.

You can watch White make the revelation in the clip below:

Speaking to PSB Sports, White discussed the Irishman’s future:

First of all he will fight before the end of the year in the UFC. He says he wants Khabib in Russia, which is one of the many reasons people love Conor McGregor. Conor loves money and he’s still in his prime and obviously he’s got a couple of fights I think… I think he’ll come back.

Some would call it ambitious, some would call it cocksure. Either way, The Notorious ‘wants Khabib Nurmagomedov in Russia’ for a fight that would make UFC history.

If the pair got together to brawl in the Octagon on Nurmagomedov’s home soil, the event would be the first bout hosted in Russia in the UFC’s quarter-century history.

Nurmagomedov, the 28-year-old undefeated Russian boxer otherwise known as The Eagle, is currently 24-0 in his MMA career, 8-0 within the UFC.

But that didn’t stop McGregor calling him a ‘pull-out merchant’ after Nurmagomedov withdrew from UFC 209 due to ‘weight-management issues’.

But before we enjoy the keen anticipation over Conor’s return to UFC, there’s another fight coming up in August that has captured the sporting world’s attention.

Paying due respect to British sportsmanship White added: “The UK is doing pretty well right now when it comes to combat sports, so obviously, if Conor McGregor can beat Floyd Mayweather… Holy shit!”

You can watch Conor in training below:

Bar the efforts he’s made in training, after a slow start, McGregor has returned to his former show-boating glory during the rivals’ press tour of America.
