Dana White Denies Conor McGregor Has Returned To UFC 200 Card

Dana White has reportedly denied that Conor McGregor has been accepted back onto the card for UFC 200.

Earlier today McGregor tweeted his thanks to the UFC president for returning him to the headline slot for July 9, but it now appears he has spoken too soon.

The LA Times have reported White sent a text to the news outlet completely refuting McGregor’s claims.

The text allegedly read:

Not true. We haven’t talked [to] Conor or his manager since the press conference. I don’t know why he would tweet that.

The whole power-struggle started with McGregor announcing his intention to ‘retire young’, before White pulled him from the bicentennial show at the T-Mobile Arena, Vegas.

The ‘Notorious’ then sought to clarify he did not want to retire, but also did not want to participate in promotional events he saw as excessive.

The UFC has yet to officially respond to McGregor’s claim that he will be in action on July 9, but I’m sure we can all agree that an end to this saga would be greatly appreciated – one way or another.
