The UFC president Dana White has revealed Conor McGregor’s next opponent and it’s going to be big.
Speaking to TMZ Sports Dana explained his plans for the Notorious.
I expect Conor’s next fight to be in the UFC, in mixed martial arts and with the winner of Khabib and Ferguson.
Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson face each other at UFC 209 on March 4. If Dana White’s plans come together whoever comes out on top will have an even higher profile fight to look forward to.
Khabib is on an incredible 24-0 streak, although he’s 8-0 in the UFC.
Where as Ferguson (22-3) has been calling out McGregor according to MMA Junkie:
He’s trying to avoid me by going over to boxing.
McGregor is on a break right now because he’s about to become a father but he should be back in the Octagon in the summer facing either Khabib or Ferguson.
TMZ also pressed White on McGregor’s much hyped match with Floyd Mayweather, but his answer will disappoint fight fans:
TMZ: Where are we at with Floyd-Conor?
Dana: We’re nowhere.
It’s worth pursuing though as Dana hinted that the money available to McGregor could be ‘anywhere between $30-60 million bucks’.
