In the immediate aftermath of Tyson Fury’s sad decline from the world of heavyweight boxing, Anthony Joshua and Wladamir Klitschko are set to take part in a ‘super-fight’ for his vacated belts.
Just last week Fury admitted he had been battling depression for the past few months and revealed that he had frequently used cocaine in an attempt to numb the pain.
Shortly after this revelation he was declared medically unfit for boxing and decided to give up his heavyweight titles.
Fury was set to fight Klitschko later this month but now there are legitimate claims that it will be AJ taking to the ring against Klitschko to battle it out for the vacant WBO, WBA, and IBF titles on December 10, reports The Telegraph.
As if things couldn’t get any more exciting the bout is set to be a gargantuan £30 million pound fight.
Fury’s fight against Klitschko was set to be staged at Manchester Arena and there is still a possibility that this will be the venue of choice for Wladamir / Joshua.
It is thought that the mega-bout will be made official in the coming days by Matchroom Sport promotions.
December 10. Mark it in your calendars guys. This is going to be a big one.
