The New England Patriots’ incredible turn around not only won them the Super Bowl, but won a lucky Twitter user a date with tennis player Eugenie Bouchard.
The Canadian professional athlete lost a bet with a fan that Atlanta would win, and has confirmed she will be going on the date with 20-year-old John Goehrke.

As Brady and his team fell to a 28-3 deficit in the third quarter, it looked to be an obvious win for Atlanta Falcons, so Bouchard tweeted with confidence saying she knew Atlanta would win.
Much to John’s surprise, she said yes, and after the game, his social media completely blew up.
John, a marketing major, said to the Kansas City Star:
I’ve been a big fan of hers for a couple of years now and I was going through Twitter and it was only the second quarter when I saw her tweet
I thought maybe there was a chance she would respond, but I thought there was no chance she’d actually agree to it.
Once the game ended, that’s when everything started blowing up.
I started getting texts from my friends that knew. My Twitter started blowing up.
It was the first time I had to start turning my notifications off.
Bouchard is staying true to her word and confirmed that she will even fly him out to a tournament).
Speaking to TSN, Eugenie said:
It’s fun and I’m going to follow through with it, because I want to honour my word.
I’ll fly him out (to a tournament), but besides that he has to be the gentleman and, you know, organise a fun date night.
Hey John, tone down that excitement. Be cool man.
In response to her incredible offer, John just said ‘That, would be awesome’.
It’s so exciting when the elite step down from their podiums and mix in with us mere mortals isn’t it?
