Tiote came to the Premier League in 2010, remaining with Newcastle until February this year when he joined China League One outfit Beijing Enterprises Group F.C.
The unapologetic midfielder’s most memorable moment in a Newcastle shirt came against Arsenal, when he scored his only goal for the Toon Army – a scorching left footed volley to tie the match 4-4 with little time remaining.
Our thoughts go out to friends, family, and Tiote’s loved ones at this time.
