Manny Pacquiao has fired shots at Floyd Mayweather ahead of his fight against UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor.
After yesterday’s weigh-ins, Pacquiao took to Twitter to mock the undefeated welterweight boxer with a particularly savage style.
In the now deleted tweet, Pacquiao mocked Mayweather’s ‘running’ style which he is accused of using in their 2015 fight.
Replying to Mayweather’s tweet that read ‘talking doesn’t win fights’, Pacquiao savagely wrote:
But running does :) God bless of your fight tonight.
The boxer is clearly still sour about losing to Mayweather two years ago.
‘Money’ Mayweather won on points disappointing many fans who criticised the boxer for spending the majority of the time running around the ring trying to avoid punches.
In an interview with Yahoo Sports Pacquiao also gave his views on McGregor knowing better than most how hard it is to fight Mayweather.
McGregor has no chance in this fight. In fact, it could be very boring.
There is no way he will be able to land a meaningful punch on Floyd. How could he? He has no professional experience in boxing.
We will find out tonight who will come out on top as McGregor takes on Mayweather in the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas.
