Conor McGregor has revealed exactly what he said to Jose Aldo after he knocked him out in just 13 seconds at UFC 194 in Las Vegas.
Despite a lead up to the fight that was full of banter and antagonising one another, McGregor has appears very cordial and respectful to the outgoing champion Jose Aldo.
When asked in a post-match interview what he said to Aldo after the fight ended McGregor replied: “There was a lot of stuff said, what I said was ‘Look, we can go again’.
“Although it’s a nice feeling to get that knockout, it’s kind of not nice as well. You can see what’s happening around and you don’t want to see the current, or the only, champion in the country’s history going out like that.”
He also added in the interview that he had a moment where he felt sorry for Jose Aldo.
McGregor seems swiftly open and accommodating towards a re-match.
“So I just said we can do it again but he was off in his own world, I believe, and they are still resentful and bitter towards it, but like I said winners focus on winning, losers focus on winners and that’s what their camp have been doing this whole time.”
Here’s the interview in its entirety:
He’s a damn honest lad that Conor McGregor!
