Raheem Sterling’s stupidity far outweighs his talent, if this leaked Snapchat video is anything to go by.
In the video, the £50m Manchester City winger shows his friends around his new house, complete with cinema room, fancy bathroom and fleet of supercars.
The footage emerges just hours after Sterling arrived back in England, having been part of the disgraced Three Lions side that were dumped out of the Euros by Iceland.
During the clip, Sterling can be heard pointing out his Ferrari, “Rangey” (Range Rover Sport), and other ridiculously expensive items, including a jewel encrusted sink – because everyone needs one of those.
His crew of friends stand around giggling like school children, as Sterling wanders round still wearing his England training kit, having arrived back in the country just hours earlier.
The video rather sums up the problem with English football, and does nothing to eradicate the feeling that the national team players simply don’t care about representing their country.
Add to that the fact that Sterling himself has always seemed like a spoiled little brat, and this clip is all the more annoying.
Leaving Liverpool, who nurtured his (rapidly diminishing) talent, for Man City because they wouldn’t pay a colossal wage affected his credibility, which has now almost totally disappeared thanks to this footage.
Maybe Raheem can sell one of those jewels around his sink to pay a coach to teach him how to cross a ball.
