Universal Pictures have finally announced an official Conor McGregor documentary called Notorious is indeed on its way.
Only a week ago the UFC Lightweight Champion teased footage of a mysterious project that now appears to be from the upcoming film.
The footage was featured in a tweet that had the caption:
Here is another power move for you to get excited about. Happy Monday.

Fans immediately started speculating about what the footage meant, wondering if it was from an upcoming movie.
And indeed they were right as Universal has just confirmed that they are behind the project that will be the official documentary of the rise of Conor McGregor called Notorious.

The tweet was sent out by the Universal Pictures Entertainment account which covers the home entertainment side of the company.
This means it is most likely that the film, which is co-produced by McGregor himself, will be heading straight to DVD and Blu-Ray with no release in the cinema.
There is no set release date yet but it will probably be after the $500 million mega-fight between McGregor and Floyd Mayweather that is taking place August 26.
We don’t know what to be more excited about – the fight or the documentary!
