Yesterday Tesla and SpaceX billionaire Elon Musk successfully launched his new rocket, the Falcon Heavy, into orbit.

Although the launch of SpaceX’s most ambitious project to date is significant for various reasons to both technology and science, more importantly it allows Elon Musk to troll Flat Earthers once again.

Although it has been accepted for hundreds of years, since Pythagoras even, that our planet Earth is spherical, many people for some reason don’t believe this.

These Flat Earth conspiracy theorists are actually convinced Earth is a flat disc and a ’round Earth conspiracy’ has been created by NASA and other government agencies.

I really don’t know how a ’round Earth conspiracy’ could benefit either NASA or governments around the world, but these conspiracy theorists seriously believe we’re all being fooled by fake satellite images.

Although the Flat Earth theory has been around for years, recently it has grown exponentially drawing the attention of the likes of Musk who just love to take them on.

Back in November Musk decided to make a perfect point about the conspiracy theory simply tweeting:

Mars’ sky is the opposite of Earth. Blue sunrise and sunset. Red during the day.

Why is there no Flat Mars Society!?

He does make the good point that since Mars too has been observed to be round, why is there no conspiracy theory yet saying this planet is flat too?

Of course the Flat Earth Society had a response to Musk’s comments tweeting:

Hi Elon, thanks for the question. Unlike the Earth, Mars has been observed to be round.

We hope you have a fantastic day!

Here they seem to be forgetting a key fact here – the Earth HAS been observed to be round!

Deciding once again to have some fun with Flat Earthers as it really does never get old, Musk shared some videos yesterday on his Twitter which the internet is convinced are only there to prove the conspiracy theorists wrong once again.

Trolling Flat Earthers from outer space itself is both hilarious and the most perfect way to utterly destroy them.

The Falcon Heavy rocket released a Tesla car into space which is being driven by a dummy in a spacesuit who is affectionally known as Starman.

Naturally Musk shared some incredible videos on his Twitter of the car orbiting round a very noticeably spherical Earth:

The round Earth was so prominent in the photos people became convinced that the whole Falcon Heavy mission actually only exists to give Musk the opportunity to once again take on Flat Earthers in the most spectacular way.

Dylan shared a video tweeting:

*All people who for some reason believe the Earth is flat in utter disappointment*

Skyler also tweeted the video writing:

Look you can see the curvature of the Earth, I bet the Flat Earthers are p**sssed.

Another user on Twitter joked:

Lol nice try. We all know the Earth is flat buddy!

Of course the Flat Earth Society also had to have their say tweeting:

People who believe that the Earth is a globe because ‘they saw a car in space on the Internet’ must be the new incarnation of ‘It’s true, I saw it on TV!’ It’s a poor argument.

Why would we believe any privately-held company to report the truth?

Please never let this debate end as it is just too entertaining!
