There’s another hoax doing the rounds on Facebook and you should really know better than to believe it but we’re gonna give you a heads up anyway.
Recognise the name ‘Jayden K Smith’? Chances are some of you have seen it mentioned in messages warning you not to accept their friendship request.
The message reads:
Please tell all the contacts in your Messenger list not to accept Jayden K Smith friendship request. He is a hacker and has the system connected to your Facebook account. If one of your contacts accepts it, you will also be hacked, so make sure that all your friends know it. Thanks. Forwarded as received.
Quick one: Jayden K Smith doesn’t exist and the message will be conducive to no-one. Well, there probably is a Jayden K Smith out there but he or she isn’t trying to destroy your computer or laptop or trying to kidnap your family or anything. Don’t fact check me on that.

‘Hoax Slayer’ says the message has been circulating for years under different guises. ‘Anwar Fitou’ may have been one used in the past.
Do not worry. No-one can ‘take over’ your Facebook account by becoming friends. As long as someone called Jayden K Smith doesn’t knock on your door and ask if he can quickly check your timeline, you’ll be fine.
