Man joins random chat room on the dark web to see what happens and he's left shocked

A TikTok user had unnerving interactions with people explaining their fantasies while he was in a chatroom on the dark web.

After joining a dark web chat room, a TikToker was left stunned after discovering the disturbing fantasies that users have.

When you first started using the internet, your parents probably gave you the typical words of warning.

‘Don’t talk to strangers’, ‘don’t believe everything you hear on the internet’...

However, it is unlikely they gave you any advice regarding navigating the dark web. Most likely because, like many people, they probably didn’t know what it was.

TikToker Austinvro claimed to have exposed a small corner of the dark web to his 4.9 million followers.

For those still out of the know, the dark web is an unregulated and hard-to-access part of the internet and even requires a specific browser to get into it.

Beyond this, it is well-known for playing host to a whole lot of shady activity including drug dealings, slavery and explicit content.

TikToker Austinvro claimed to have exposed a small corner of the dark web to his 4.9 million followers with some uncomfortable interactions.

In his viral video, he headed to the ‘dark web’ in search of chatrooms that would pair you with random people in the world, something that is still available on the normal side of the web. This activity used to be popular on sites like Omegle, however this service has now shut down.

Ahead of joining the chatrooms, the TikToker explained that he also saw access to ‘red rooms’, which he explained were livestreams where people watch torture and degradation for payment. Unnerving stuff.

When he did join a ‘dark web’ chatroom, after saying hello the anonymous user said they were 'looking for fun rp chat with my daughters'.

The ‘RP’ most likely standing for role-playing in this context, making for a disturbing offer.

Another chatter said they were 'f25 into roleplaying as younger', which similarly has implications that are grim to consider, and unsurprisingly led the TikToker to call them and the other users 'disgusting people'.

However, social media users on the post were skeptical of Austinvro’s video.

Some alleged that ‘red rooms’ were near impossible to come by unless invited and were more often scams or traps set by the authorities.

Other users simply questioned that if the TikToker was really on the dark web, it would take longer to get onto than how it is shown in the video and his videos would likely get taken down from the platform.

So, it might be worth taking his claims with a pinch of salt.
