Google have been forced to blur Google Street View images of what appears to be a man moving a 'dead body' - despite the reality of what he's probably doing being a lot more innocent.
The drive-by snaps of Kent Road in Akron, Ohio, captured an image that left local resident of the area, named simply as 'Tami', shaken by what she thought she'd witnessed.
Looking for support for social media to confirm or quash the unbelievable images, she posted the pics to Facebook on Wednesday (23 August).

What Facebookers saw initially took them by surprise too: a man nonchalantly pushing his bicycle down the side of the road.
The problem? The body-shaped and sized tarpaulin, which was tightly bound and draped to the handlebars and seat of his bike with its head apparently dangling over the back wheel.
Armchair sleuths didn't hesitate to get to the bottom of this apparent psychopathic activity.

They were able to brighten the image, which they claimed revealed 'blood' on the unsuspecting but seemingly guilty man's boots and hands.
One comment read: "He has a body!"
While another said: "I cleared up the image. Definitely looks like blood on his boots!"
Another joked: "Imagine walking a body down the road like that and seeing the dang Google car drive by you with all the cameras on it."

Panicked, they asked if the incriminating images had been reported to police in the area.
Thankfully, common sense prevailed, as other locals pointed out that the street adjacent to where the photos were taken is a popular spot for homeless people to pitch their tents.
One said: "There was a homeless tent city over there for a few years. I'm guessing it's a tent."

The photo, which is thought to have been captured in June 2019, now seems likely to just have captured one of the homeless locals moving his folded tent from point A to point B, using his bike to help him - not so sinister after all.
However, the ongoing upset caused by the OG post with over 1,000 shares on Facebook meant that Google was forced into action.
Whatever it was that the man was carrying, innocent or otherwise, has been blurred.

The OP explained: "My niece showed [a photo] to me and I had it saved to my phone so I decided to take a trip to Kent St on Google to make sure he was still there.
"The picture is literally worth a thousand words. The comments have been hilarious.
"The reality of it is, he's possibly moving his belongings from the homeless camp that used to be near there."
UNILAD have approached Google and Akron Police Department for comment.
According to a spokesperson from Akron Police Department they are 'looking into the matter': "There is no credible or direct evidence to suggest, at least at this point, that there was in fact a human body being transported."
