As we approach the release of the first trailer for GTA VI, fans think they may have found a potential release date for the game itself.
Rockstar Games - the developers of the famed franchise - released Grand Theft Auto V in September 2013, with the tenth anniversary of the beloved game coming earlier this year.
Since then, Rockstar has released Red Dead Redemption 2 to much critical acclaim, while also releasing remasters of some of its much-loved titles.

But the GTA series is very much a different beast, with fans longing for even the tiniest bit of information from Rockstar.
Last week, the developers announced that the first trailer for GTA VI would be dropping on Tuesday (December 5) at 9am ET.
The post also seemingly confirmed the game would take place in Vice City, a fictionalized depiction of Miami - much to fans' excitement.
But while a lot of social media users tried to work out exactly when Rockstar would finally drop the first trailer for the new GTA game, fans quickly realized the date was in GTA V all along.
Thanks to the GTA 6 News X (formerly known as Twitter) account, an in-game t-shirt available in GTA V known as 'ONEDAYWILLREVEALALL' has a particularly interesting number sequence on it.

While the in-game shirt has a bunch of different numbers on the diamond-like design, there is one that is very relevant now.
'12523' - any guesses as to what that could mean?
Well, that is the GTA VI trailer release date of course, 5 December, 2023.
And it appears that t-shirt not only has a release date for the GTA VI trailer on it, but also a potential release date for the game itself.

X user @LegacyKillaHD took to the social media site and wrote: "Besides @RockstarGames teasing at the GTA 6 reveal date & time with the secret number sequence of '1252309' on this GTA Online shirt a few months ago, there's also more POTENTIAL interesting numbers here. 040125 = April 1st 2025. Could that be the intended GTA 6 release date?!"
It's certainly an interesting take, and one we may find out more about on Tuesday with GTA VI's first trailer.
Even if the trailer ends with an 1 April, 2025 release date, it should be worth nothing Rockstar is certainly not afraid of delaying its games.

When the company revealed Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2016, the cowboy adventure initially had a 2017 release date. It eventually came out in 2018.
GTA V also suffered the same fate, as it was initially due out in early 2013, but later hit markets in September of the same year.
