Elon Musk calls Mark Zuckerberg a 'chicken' for saying we need to move on from their cage fight

The Facebook CEO claimed that Musk was ‘never serious’ about getting in the ring.

Elon Musk has dubbed Mark Zuckerberg a ‘chicken’ for saying we all need to move on from their cage match fight.

While these two billionaires continue to throw virtual punches at each other, the Facebook CEO released a statement, claiming that Musk was ‘never serious’ about their fight and it’s time to ‘move on’.

Over the weekend, Zuckerberg wrote via Threads: "Elon won't confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead.

"I think we can all agree Elon isn't serious and it's time to move on. I offered a real date.

"Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won't confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead.

"If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me.

"Otherwise, time to move on. I'm going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously."

The Threads CEO then posted a photo of him looking shredded while training in his backyard.

“Separately, here's a photo from today's Friday Morning Fights in my backyard octagon. Good times,” he wrote.

It didn’t take long for the X CEO to respond.

“Zuck is a chicken,” he teased. "He can’t eat at Chic[k]-fil-A because that would be cannibalism."

Last week, Musk claimed he was preparing for the fight ahead by lifting ‘weights throughout the day’ and ‘bringing them to work’.

To which Zuckerberg revealed that the South African businessman had yet to commit to a date.

It came after Musk said that the fight would be live-streamed via X so that people across the globe could tune in, adding that all the proceeds would go to veterans.

However, the Facebook CEO then weighed in, poking fun at Musk’s company.

Zuckerberg wrote: “Shouldn’t we use a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity?”

The billionaire feud was sparked when Musk bought Twitter, and news arose of Zuckerberg's since-launched rival app Threads.

A Twitter user warned Musk they'd heard Zuckerberg 'does the jujitsu now' and so he 'better be careful'.

On June 20, Musk replied: "I'm up for a cage match if he is lol."

Zuckerberg then sent the internet into a frenzy after he took to Instagram and penned to the Tesla boss: "Send Me Location."
