A model for the popular Spider-Man games has called out the series' fanbase for 'stalking' and 'unacceptable' incidents.
Stephanie Tyler Jones featured in both Marvel's Spider-Man and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 as Mary-Jane Watson’s face model.
The PlayStation exclusive games are some of the most popular on the Sony video game console - with Spider-Man 2 releasing last year to much critical acclaim.
However, Jones will not return to model Peter Parker's girlfriend in a possible third game in the Insomniac Games saga as she is now 'no longer an actively auditioning actor or model' - with any shoots now being 'purely a creative outlet for myself and a way to collaborate with friends I love'.

In a post to Instagram Stories, Jones said that she appreciates the 'love' for her role from all of the 'Spider-Man fans' and the 'positive reception' she has received for her 'version of MJ'.
However, in the same statement, she also called out fans who had 'crossed boundaries' over the weekend by engaging in behavior which she called 'unacceptable'.
"I appreciate the love for my role in the Spider-Man games and the positive response to my version of MJ has gotten over the years." she started her statement.

"Over the weekend, some followers crossed boundaries.
"One even went to the extent of calling my workplace and leaving multiple voicemails wanting to speak with me and requesting I call back, which is unacceptable and considered stalking.
"I came into work this morning and immediately felt unsafe and uncomfortable hearing those voicemails.
"Please respect that I am a human being trying to make a living just like you, and I kindly ask for boundaries to not be crossed."

Jones, who is a licensed medical aesthetician, also added that her skincare page is 'not for Spider-Man or MJ fans'.
She concluded her statement by saying: "Messages will not be answered, I will block you if you make me feel uncomfortable and you can unfollow me if this disappoints you."
Following her post, Insomniac Games’ James Stevenson, a developer on the Spider-Man games series, has since issued a statement of support.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), he said: "I shouldn't have to say this, but don't harass game developers, voice actors, mo-cap performers, or face models (or anyone else).
"Don't message them directly, and especially don't track down phone numbers or personal information in an attempt to contact them."
And many in his comments also called out these people, with one person writing: "Imagine thinking you would achieve something good by harassing."
A second posted: "That's sad some people need to get a grip on life."
