The Redmi Note 11’s 6.43in form factor is slightly bigger than the baseline models of the iPhone 13 and recently launched Samsung Galaxy S22, both of which feature 6.1in displays. But unlike Apple’s latest flagship, the Note 11 does come with the superior FHD+ AMOLED display, as well as a 90Hz refresh rate, which should make for smoother scrolling than the standard iPhone 13, which is limited to 60Hz.

Speaking of epic views, the Redmi Note 11 comes with a camera it promises can deliver a ‘flagship experience.’ Using Samsung sensor technology, the 50MP quad lens setup gives you those Insta-ready shots without you having to watch two hours of YouTube tutorials to figure out the different features before you can start snapping. On the front, there’s also a 13MP hole-punch camera which promises to capture ‘clear, natural-looking selfies.’
Most of us would never admit it, but we all know how your phone looks can be just as important as what it does, and Xiaomi has options to suit all tastes. The sleek flat frame comes in three colours: Charcoal Gray, Twilight Blue and an iridescent ‘Star Blue’ that stands out in a crowd of space gray and titanium black.
The glossy hardware isn’t just there to look pretty - it houses dual ‘super linear’ speakers to ensure a surround sound experience whether you’re gaming or getting inspiration for the latest TikTok challenge, as well as biometric security features including a side fingerprint sensor and AI-powered face unlocking, Dual SIM and Micro SD slots, and, for the old-school, a 3.5mm headphone jack.
As the cheapest phone in the next-gen Redmi range, the Note 11 costs a full £500 less than Apple and Samsung’s lowest priced current gen devices, and is £400 cheaper than the Google Pixel 6. At under £200 it also competes with the mid-range offerings from other heavyweights like Samsung’s Galaxy A series.
