This army veteran rocked up to the Antiques Roadshow, brandishing his old Rolex, but I don’t think he was prepared for the amount it’s now worth…

Back in the 60s, the former soldier treated himself to a 1960 Master Rolex, while stationed in Germany, for a meagre $120, which would be around $894 today.

He told the antiques valuer, he’d hoped it would now be worth around $1500, but what the expert told him, made the guy lost for words.

Far from being worth double the amount he’d paid for it over 5o years ago, the dealer delivered the jaw-dropping news, the watch is actually worth a staggering $65,000-$75,000.

Needless to say, the man was completely stunned by this unexpected revelation and proceeded to stare in wonder at his little gold-mine he’d been hoarding.

All he could bring himself to say in his dazed state was:

Wow. I had no idea. I’m speechless.

Here’s the full version of him discovering its incredible value:

The guy had really struck gold, as he had the original paperwork, receipt, the box and the bracelet which definitely increased its worth, although it would already be in the tens of thousands without all that…

This guy has been super lucky.

I think if I just had the bracelet worth a few quid I’d be happy…
