Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield meet some pretty odd people on their show, and for the most part they treat them with a fair hand.
They rarely become too outraged with their This Morning guests but sometimes they come across people who they can’t help but become infuriated by.
One such guest is Joshua Sutcliffe, who had been suspended and could be sacked after ‘accidentally’ calling a trans pupil who identifies as a boy a ‘girl’ in class.
He and Andrea Williams, the Chief Exec of Christian Concern, were on today’s show to debate the topic with the two morning presenters, and let’s just say it didn’t go well.
Joshua was adamantly still calling the pupil a ‘girl’ and said he refused to recognise the ideology of gender fluidity.
This obviously was not received well by the two hosts but it went even further when Andrea said it was not possible for anybody to be born ‘in the wrong body’.
Check out the video here:
She called being transgender a 'fad', which was the final straw for Phil.
Holy cow... I am finding this utterly abhorrent. In your eyes, it is not possible to be born in the wrong body?
The guest replied in the negative, and said nothing can change then gender with which you were born.
She argued the kindest thing to do would be to help the child live in the body they have.
Very often when we see children identifying as homosexual it is not good for them to live out in such a lifestyle.
It's not good for our children to be highly sexualised.
Obviously, the two didn't take kindly to that, and audiences have been polarised in their reaction to the interview.
One person on Twitter wrote:
Thank you for standing up for transgender children. I was disgusted by the comments from your 'Christian' guests. I am glad the school have addressed this.
They are acknowledging the needs of their pupils. Well done Philip and Holly!

I don't normally watch this programme as am working, but I was quite shocked at how rude the presenters were to Joshua Sutcliffe.
I'm surprised they have any guests on their show if they are always so rude then they don't agree.

What do you think? Were Holly and Phil right to show their disgust so much?
