Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are well used to entertaining some pretty unusual guests on their famous This Morning sofa.

However, nothing could have prepared them for Britain’s Got Talent magician Marc Spelmann and his equally incredible daughter Isabella.

Spelmann by name, Spelmann by nature, Marc wowed the BGT judges with his magic act, even impressing the notoriously tough-to-please Simon Cowell.

After being awarded a prestigious Golden Buzzer on Saturday night’s show, Marc has now taken his mind reading abilities to This Morning, with a little help from Isabella…

First of all, Marc requested Holly and Phil – and those watching – to think of a character, visualising them in settings where they might feel at home. Marc gave the example of imagining James Bond in a casino.

Magic Marc then asked the puzzled presenters to mentally change this environment multiple times, causing laugh-prone Holly to fight back the giggles.

Even Marc struggled to keep a straight face when confronted with Holly’s trademark jolliness, warning her ‘don’t make me laugh, because you guys make me laugh all the time!’

You can watch the goose-pimple-inducing footage for yourself below:

With his easy charm and screen presence, Marc proceeded to ask the presenting duo who their character was and where they had eventually placed them.

Holly had chosen Peppa Pig 'on a bus' while Phil opted for the delightfully strange Darth Vader 'on a fishing boat.'

Marc then instructed for some pre-recorded video footage to be played. Suddenly we were seeing Marc at home along with two-and-a-half year old Isabella and things were about to get seriously spooky...

Marc explained how he hadn't been able to bring Isabella to the This Morning studio with him as she was 'studying very hard' at nursery.

Marc then asked Isabella who Holly and Phil would be thinking of, and she answered quickly and correctly on both accounts.

A visibly perplexed Holly cried out, 'She needs to go on Britain's Got Talent, not you!' while a startled Phil called for a round of applause.

Modest Marc described his daughter as being 'the brains behind the operation,' insisting, 'I'm just the frontman.'

There wasn't a dry eye in the Britain's Got Talent studio when Marc revealed how Isabella was the inspiration behind his stellar act.

The much longed for little girl was born after five years of IVF. Marc's wife Tessa was diagnosed with breast cancer during her pregnancy, making her birth even more miraculous.

After undergoing chemotherapy, Tessa and Isabella both survived, and Marc's pride and gratefulness for his family is evident.

Marc told Holly and Phil:

When I did the performance I always said to Tessa, 'If I ever do Britain's Got Talent, I would do it as a dedication to you'. I knew what concept it would be.

I know people got really emotional watching it but it was never supposed to be a sob story.

What it's supposed to be is a realisation of what real magic is to me.

I'm sure plenty of people will be rooting for Marc - and racking their brains over how on Earth he does it - as the competition progresses.
