What can I say about Love Island which hasn’t been said about another divisive product in our country – marmite.
For those of you who’ve been watching the popular ITV show, one of the chief concerns amongst the Love Island faithful is regarding contestant Alex George, who’s yet to be paired up with someone.
During his time on the show, the unlucky-in-love doctor has yet to find a compatible partner, but things look like they’re going to change for him as he gets coupled up with love interest, Megan Barton Hanson.
Tonight’s episode, (June 13) will see the contestants recouple and preview snapshots show them, in what appears to be their new ‘couple formations’, with Alex and Megan seemingly paired together, according to The Sun.
At this point, I’m beginning to wonder if these guys have ever heard of Tinder or Bumble? Surely they’d have less drama on there… and then I remember there’s a £50,000 cash prize at the end of this.
If it does turn out Alex and Megan are together, it means the A&E medic finally got his girl, which’ll no doubt leave viewers rejoicing after having to watch him struggle to find a partner.
This comes after new arrival, Megan, found herself in a love triangle between herself, Eyal and Alex. Things turned straight up awkward after Eyal kissed her in front of Alex. You know, in some places, that would be considered an act of war.
Fans felt the same way and they blasted the model on social media, labelling him a snake and expressing their disgust at his attempt to assert his dominance as the alpha male.
It’s like people forgot this is a game show – at its core.
The new pictures of the contestants were taken moments before they all took part in one of the most stomach-churning tasks to date.
Tonight’s episode will see the contestants take part in a challenge where they have to transport food from one person to another, with the use of their mouth as quickly as possible. What a waste of perfectly good food.
After the task was completed, contestant Laura admitted in the Beach Hut:
Honestly, I didn’t feel like I was going to be sick.
I was fine. It was like my perfect meal. I love soup, I love spaghetti meatballs, I love profiteroles and champagne.
Fascinating Laura, truly fascinating.
One person who took the task a bit too seriously was Josh.
I wanted to win so badly, I thought I don’t care how disgusting this is.
It’s not all laughs and shenanigans on tonight’s episode though, there’s bound to be drama as Laura lets rip on Adam, telling her fellow contestants he ‘has literally been a bit of a pr*ck’ since joining the show.
He doesn’t in my eyes really deserve the chance to have any beautiful girl pine after him.
Wow, as someone who doesn’t watch the show, all I can say is, it’s a bit of a harsh statement. Everyone deserves someone. Or not, who knows?
