Richard Harrison – aka ‘Old Man’ – from TV show Pawn Stars cut one of his sons out of his will, according to reports.

Harrison died on June 25, 2018, aged 77, after battling Parkinson’s disease.

Despite making it clear in his will he loved his sons, he reportedly stated he was cutting one of them out, putting another in charge of the estate.

According to court records obtained by The Blast, Harrison’s original will named his ‘wife and three children as beneficiaries’.

However, last year he’s believed to have signed an updated document, specifically cutting out his son, Christopher.

The document said he’d like to express his ‘love and affection’ for Christopher, but cut him out of the will.

The document reads:

I would like to express my love and affection for Christopher Keith Harrison but for the purposes of this will, I have intentionally and with full knowledge failed to provide for him and his issue.

Harrison’s son, Rick, who starred alongside his dad on Pawn Stars, has been put in charge of the estate as an administrator.

No further information regarding the will has been released.

Gold & Silver Pawn Shop announced Harrison’s death through a post on the show’s Facebook page:

It is with heavy hearts that we acknowledge the passing of Richard Benjamin Harrison (known as ‘The Old Man’ to Pawn Stars fans the world over) this morning. He was surrounded by loving family this past weekend and went peacefully.

The team at Gold & Silver Pawn and the Pawn Stars family is grieving his loss.

He will be remembered as the best father, grandfather and great-grandfather you could have by his family and by fans as the sometimes grumpy (always loving, however), often wisecracking, and voice of absolute reason on the History television show ‘Pawn Stars’.

Services are pending and the family appreciates your prayers and kind words.

Rick also paid tribute to his father with an emotional Instagram post:

Richard Benjamin ‘The Old Man’ Harrison passed away this morning surrounded by those he loved. He will be tremendously missed by our family, the team at Gold & Silver Pawn and his many fans the world over.

He was my hero and I was fortunate to get a very cool ‘Old Man’ as my dad. That I got to share him with so many others and they got to see what a great family man he was is something I am grateful to have experienced with him.

He lived a very full life and through the History television show ‘Pawn Stars’ touched the lives of people all over, teaching them the value of loving your family, hard work and humor.

We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers and ask that we are provided some privacy at this time.

Pawn Stars has aired on History since 2009, and Harrison was a firm favourite among fans of the show. As well as having an in-depth knowledge about his trade, he often spoke about his previous military career.

Harrison had a particular interest in cars, and was even given a 1957 Chevy 150 Sedan by the stars of American Restoration and American Pickers.

Our thoughts are with Richard’s family and friends at this difficult time.
