The huge war between Rick and Negan is not the only thing getting between them, it turns out after WGA trikes threaten season eight.

The Writers Guild of America (WGA) are threatening to strike if they can not reach an agreement on wages with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.

A strike would take place from May 1 if an agreement for more money and better healthcare for the WGA is not reached by then, which could affect the writing and producing of current shows scheduled to air in the summer of 2017, Uproxx reports.

Late night talk shows would be immediately affected, while series’ including American Horror Story, Jessica Jones, Star Trek Discovery, and, of course, The Walking Dead could also be halted.

Luckily Game of Throne, Twin Peaks and Orange Is The New Black are safe from the strike as they are all ready to go.

The last strike lasted from November 5 2007 to February 12, 2008, and had huge consequences for shows like Lost, Desperate Housewives, Pushing Daisies, and Breaking Bad (that’s why there are only seven episodes instead of nine in season one).

Hopefully this off-screen battle is solved quickly so we can tune into the most important war between Alexandria and the Saviours.
