As overreactions go, this one is pretty nuclear.
A shocking video – believed to be shot in Wembley, north London – shows the moment a Subway worker locked a child inside the restaurant and carried him away, as the kid’s mates desperately tried to smash down the door to free him.
According to the Mirror Online, the member of staff grabbed the boy after a row over an alleged stolen bag of crisps got way out of hand, and he can be seen in the footage dragging the young lad across the floor.
The child, aged around 10, becomes visibly more and more upset in the footage as he frantically tries to get out of the restaurant.
Meanwhile, his panicked mates do everything in their power to try and kick down the door, and one even picks up a heavy advertising hoarding from nearby and smashes the glass in an attempt to get inside.
The video was uploaded to Facebook yesterday and viewers are divided on who overreacted the most – the kids or the worker. Either way, you probably shouldn’t go around as an adult in 2015 grabbing children, that’s pretty much a given.
A Subway spokesman has reportedly confirmed that the incident is now being investigated, although the Metropolitan Police have yet to comment on the video.
