One McDonald’s employee proved himself a hero after his quick thinking saved an unconcious policewoman passing through a drive-thru.
The customer, an off duty Miami-Dade officer, had her two children in the backseat and was suffering a medical emergency.
CCTV footage shows the employee, Pedro Viloria, jump out of the drive-thru window as the woman’s car slowly pulls past.
Viloria said the customer pulled up and paid for her order without a problem, but when he returned to the window with her food, he noticed she was having trouble breathing.
“I thought if these kids lose their mother today, that’s going to be tragic,” Viloria told WSVN.
After checking on the customer and realising she was unconscious, Viloria ran back into the restaurant to find help.
A customer, who identified himself as a paramedic, ran out to assist the woman, Local 10 News reported.
An off-duty Miami-Dade Fire Rescue worker also entered the store and offered his assistance, according to the report.
“I never panicked. I never panicked at all. My brain was on hero mode, totally,” Viloria said. “I thought immediately something’s going on with that woman right now and I got to do something.”
He said the first responders performed CPR on the woman and used a defibrillator to revive her.
