Revenge is sweet.
It is even sweeter when it lands on the anniversary of the day someone fucked you over – just ask former Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach.
Last year, Steve Harvey caused a fair bit of outrage after he incorrectly announced Miss Colombia as the winner, only to later pronounce the Philippines’ Wurtzbach as the rightful queen.
So, on the Miss Universe stage in the Philippines on Monday night, when host Steve Harvey was about to announce this year’s winner, Wurtzbach interrupted him and got her sweet, sweet revenge.
Gliding on stage, she handed over a thick pair of reading glasses to Harvey.
“Thank you so much Pia,” Harvey said. “A year late, but thank you.”
And they must have helped because, thankfully, he read the right name. After managing to not mess it up, he quipped: “I’m Steve Harvey and I got it right!”
"I'm Steve Harvey AND I GOT IT RIGHT!"
That's how you stand up after a fall, ladies and gentlemen. Steve Harvey, THE REAL MISS UNIVERSE!

Last year’s fiasco caused much anguish for not only Wurtzbach, but also Colombia’s Ariadna Gutierrez, who had to get stripped of the title while holding back tears.
In the days following the pageant’s finale, Wurtzbach was on the receiving end of a torrent of hostility from Colombians and reported that some of the other contestants had blamed her for Steve’s mistake.
If you happened to miss perhaps the worst fuck-up in Miss Universe history, here it is:
But it appears that Wurtzbach is now making light of the incident. She said on Monday: “Steve I never got to thank you, but thank you for making me the most popular Miss Universe.”
