It has been a crazy year in the UFC women’s bantamweight division.

Ronda Rousey lost her belt in 2015 to Holly Holm, Holm lost it to Miesha Tate, and then Amanda Nunes claimed the title.

But after a lengthy spell outside of the Octagon, Rousey will return to immediately challenge for the strap, however her omission from episode one of the UFC embedded series has turned a few heads…

Viewers get to see UFC 207 competitors including, Cody Garbrandt, Dominick Cruz, and Nunes but no Rousey.

But the UFC has moved to quash any concerns by getting at least a mobile phone camera on the fomer champ…

Ronda Rousey hasn’t fought since Holly Holm comprehensively battered her in Melbourne in November of 2015.

The former champ required surgery to repair the damage done to her face in the bout, as Holm put on a powerful striking display at UFC 193…

Why Rousey isn’t appearing in Embedded does somewhat undermine the series, but at least it looks like 207 won’t be losing another headline fight.

Cain Velasquez was withdrawn on medical grounds from fighting Fabricio Werdum after it was revealed he would require surgery after the fight, and that is before his body had potentially sustained any further damage.
