A young kid who was hospitalised by his school bullies has said he opted against fighting back as it’s ‘not the Jedi way.’

Aiden Vasquez went viral on Monday, (August 27) after pictures were brought to the public’s attention on Facebook, courtesy of his mum, Lizette Casanova.

He’s since caught the attention of Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, but initially, it was Lizette’s words which made a powerful impact on social media users.

‘I HATE TWO BUNCH PALMS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN DESERT HOT SPRINGS! this is the THIRD YEAR MY SON IS BULLIED!!’ she fumed.  ‘Yes he is different he’s smarter and sweeter then most boys his age BUT REALLY!?!’ [sic]

She added:

Now we’re making hospital visits and I’m PRESSING CHARGES!! Last year he had to get stitches on his face from getting “ pushed”, losing his breath on the playground for getting thrown down! [sic]

IM DONE POLICE INVOLVED NOW CALLING OUT PSUSD WHAT ARE THEY DOING ABOUY BULLYING!!!!! [sic]

‘Been reading some pretty mean comments lately…I could care less what the true “Jedi” ways are my son is 10 years old if he wants to believe in that as a form of confidence and guidance then so be it,’ [sic] she wrote in a later post.

‘OK I’ve heard you all out I agree SELF DEFENSE is an amazing tool…but so is a heart of gold and a brilliant mind! [sic] Let my son be a kid we didn’t ask anybody for anything all we want is safety and happiness,’ she continued.

‘My son deserves it bullying takes many different forms… Aiden is 10 let him live in his own world until 18 don’t you all worry about him being prepared for life and life decisions HE WILL BE READY WHEN THE TIME COMES!’ [sic]

Aiden said the troubles started when a bully took his backpack on school grounds. When asking for it back, the tormenter let rip on him, leaving poor Aiden with a three-inch deep cut above his eye.

Mark Hamill tweeted in support of the young lad, saying:

I’m astonished by his wisdom and courage at such a tender age. I may be a fictional Jedi, but this boy is the real deal.

Not sure how to reach out to him, but I hope he sees this message & knows how much I admire him.

Two Bunch Palms headteacher, Joseph Scudder, promised he’d investigate the bullying.

In a statement, he said:

We wanted to reassure our families that the safety of our students is our number one priority. All incidents and complaints are taken seriously and investigated thoroughly, and this incident is no exception.

Keep doing you, Aiden. We’re all on your side.
