It’s just another manic Monday today, as satanic hackers infiltrated Cheryl Cole’s Instagram account.
Amid the selfies and the smiles, Cheryl Cole’s Instagram followers were surprised to see a couple of dark posts crop up in her feed this morning.
The three posts included a message directed at boyfriend and ex-One Direction member Liam Payne, saying ‘666 FUCK LIAM PAYNE’.

A third post directed Cheryl’s fans to follow a Twitter account, @xxxginseng, that appears to be based in Denmark and linked to the Cyber Wolf Gang.
The former Girls Aloud band mate’s Twitter seems to be unaffected by the hack.
The hack doesn’t seem to have any wider implications and it hasn’t been positioned alongside any social commentary, as the perpetrators have stayed anonymous and quiet. It is thought to be a press stunt.
While hacking can affect its victims negatively if they begin to question their online safety and privacy, the prank was clearly meant in jest and serves as a reminder that nothing online is sacrosanct and guarded.
Death metal fans, take a sigh of relief; clearly Cheryl isn’t redirecting her musical energies to anything heavier and more challenging than her usual pop stylings.
Meanwhile, we advise she up her password game.
