A YouTube blogger has confessed to accidentally shooting her boyfriend for a stunt they planned to post on their joint channel.
20-year-old Monalisa Perez from Halstad, Minnesota, US, fatally gunned down her partner Pedro Ruiz III back in June, while filming a video.
In the footage, Perez fired a gun into a book Ruiz held up to his chest just a foot away.
According to Perez, the pair hoped the bullet would become lodged in the book, yet tragically, it passed through and struck 22-year-old Ruiz in his chest.
Perez pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter on Friday and is likely to face six months in prison and 10 of supervised probation, as part of her plea agreement, reports the Star Tribune.
She’ll be banned from owning firearms of any kind for life, court reports say.
The couple had filmed many vlogs prior to Ruiz’s untimely death.
Videos saw him falling out of a tree, jumping into a swimming pool and accidentally eating a doughnut covered in baby powder.
Me and Pedro are probably going to shoot one of the most dangerous videos ever😳😳 HIS idea not MINE🙈

Their final though, proved too much. Before the filming took place. Perez took to her Twitter to express her reservation:
Me and Pedro are probably going to shoot one of the most dangerous videos ever. HIS idea not MINE.
Perez told police Ruiz had assured her the stunt was safe after showing her other books which had lodged bullets from gun fire.
The horrifying incident was performed in front of their three-year-old child as well as around 30 witnesses.
Ruiz was pronounced dead at the scene.
