Two Workers Filmed Emptying And Loading Same Lorry
This is the moment stunned residents film a construction worker shovelling soil into a lorry while his colleague empties it out again.
The video was recorded on the crossroads of Colon and Pringles avenues in the city of Olavarria in the eastern Argentine province of Buenos Aires.
In the footage, a motorist parks up to film two labourers wearing high-visibility jackets by an excavation lorry filled with soil.
One of the men is on the back of the lorry shovelling soil out while the other is on the ground in front of a large mound of earth shovelling it in.
The motorist filmed the two men cancelling each other out for nearly a minute before footage from another car driver shows the same scene from a different angle.
The motorist says:
This is how our country works, my friends. Incredible. One loads as the other empties.
Several clips have been uploaded to social media where they have been widely circulated. One Twitter post was viewed 163,000 times and retweeted by nearly 4,000 netizens.
However, local authorities explained what happened saying, ‘They were swapping wet
earth for dry soil.’
The labourers, who work for an electric company, were sent to the site following a pipe leak and were swapping mud for dry soil, which is why they are seen working at different ends of the lorry.
Netizen ‘Loqmehacereir’ said: ‘Argentina, visual representation.’
‘FederkoPk’ commented: ‘Even if they are genuinely swapping the soil, it is still an amazing sight!’
‘Franciscog87’ wrote, ‘It has to be a fake, if it was authentic there would be at least five other labourers watching them work.’
Is this a visual representation of Argentina, who are potentially still reeling from their frankly shocking World Cup performance this summer?
The Argentines lost out to France 4-3 in what at the time was called ‘the best game of the tournament’, for France mostly, who went on to win the thing.
Wonder-boy Lionel Messi failed to bag a goal in the seven-goal thriller, making it his fourth World Cup failure.
Despite putting three against Lloris, the national side – cheered on by a spirited Diego Maradona in the stands – struggled to match the excellent performance put in by the French.
As a result, his fellow citizens can’t go about their construction work without me writing about it. I guess that’s just the way the cookie crumbles.
