Her savagery knew no bounds as she laid into the poor fella after he popped the big question.

Usually when you get down on one knee to ask the question of all questions’, you usually go in there with 99.9 per cent confidence that she’ll say ‘yes’ – with a 0.0001 percent portability that she’ll say no.

So you can pretty much guess what this irate girlfriend’s answer was when her boyfriend (who we’re pretty sure isn’t her boyfriend anymore) proposed. But she didn’t just simply say ‘no’, she decided to go on full demon mode and put his dirty laundry out for the world to see – he did propose to her in public after all.

She was filmed by onlookers in Nanning, South China, as she ridiculed the unfortunate bloke for not having ‘a toilet’ or ‘bathing facilities!’.

The footage was shared all over social media in China and it finished with her telling him:

You ask me to marry you? You really need educating. I don’t think you have serious feelings for me.

The video has been viewed over 10 million times in the first 24 hours since being uploaded and has prompted a huge reaction from viewers criticising and praising the woman.

One supporter sided with the woman, believing she wasn’t wrong for savagely rejecting his proposal saying:

It wasn’t that she doesn’t like him because he is poor. The woman said “she can’t take a shower if there is no bathroom”, she is not asking for a big house, only the basic life necessity. Why wrong has she done? [sic]

But another person criticised her with this bizarre comment, which no one in the office could make head-nor-tail of:

I’ll choose bread. After all, love will expire and [the woman] will have a worse life if [her husband] has an affair when she gets old. I’d rather choose bread from the very beginning. At least, I won’t have to live a miserable life.

Others, however, felt no sympathy for the poor heartbroken guy believing that he was ‘asking for it’ for proposing in such a public place. Turns out life isn’t like Love Actually after all… well at least not in China.

As it turns out, men in China are being priced out of marriage as more women are becoming concerned about material things, that’s according to The Daily Mail.

Brides-to-be in China are reportedly expecting a ‘car, house and minimum bank balance’ before taking the plunge with their significant other. It has resulted in the national marriage rates falling for its second year in China with the number’s dropping from 9.1 per cent in 2013 and 6.3 per cent in 2014.

According to national statistics there is an estimated 30 to 40 million single men in China who are unable to find a wife.
