Julia Fox has defended her decision to wear little more than underwear to the supermarket.
The Uncut Gems star took to Instagram to post an image of her wearing nothing but a black-and-white set of underwear and a matching denim trio of boots, bag and jacket.
The setting? Not a photoshoot, or outfit for chilling out in at home, but apparently the perfect attire to pop to Pavilions grocery store.

Fox's attire drew lots of attention, however the actor has since responded to one jibe by arguing she thinks it should be 'socially acceptable' to run errands in such an outfit.
A meme posted in response to her outfit joked that it must be 'laundry day'.
Fox took to her story to reply: "I just think if it's socially acceptable at the beach it should be the same everywhere lol."

Other followers, however, supported the star's outfit choice, calling her 'such a mood' and an 'icon'.
This isn't the first time Fox has been caught in an intriguing denim outfit.
A couple of months ago, she took to Instagram to post a series of images showing off her self-made denim trousers and top set.

She wrote: "Tutorial on how I made these pants coming soon!! Lmao I also made this top but I didn’t record it cuz I truly didn’t think it was gonna work :/ also never taking these boots off @alexanderwangny."
Fox has also recently hit headlines for her brief relationship with rapper Ye - formerly known as Kanye West.

The star blogged about her first date with Ye as being a 'Cinderella moment' and detailed how the rapper surprised her with 'an entire hotel suite full of clothes' after directing 'an entire photo shoot' in a restaurant while people dined around them.
However, the pair ultimately called it quits after around six weeks.
Despite media outlets describing Fox as being 'tearful' after the break-up, she was quick to set the record straight, noting that she and the rapper are 'on good terms' and that she still has 'love for him'.
During their relationship, West and Fox were spotted in matching outfits, including a denim ensemble - likened to the iconic outfits worn by Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears.

Similarly to Fox's supermarket attire, the denim look became the focus of multiple memes.
