Rapper Lil Dicky opens up about living with a small penis that suffers from rare condition

Rapper Lil Dicky has spoken out about being born with a birth defect which led him to have multiple surgeries on his penis.

Rapper Lil Dicky has spoken out about being born with a birth defect which led him to have multiple surgeries on his penis.

Lil Dicky's rap name does exactly what it says on the tin - the 'spirit of the name' reflecting the insecurities he had while growing up about his penis.

The rapper - real name David Andrew Burd - isn't afraid to speak about it either and raise important awareness of a health condition he had when born.

The 'Earth' musician sat down with Call Her Daddy podcast host, Alexandra Cooper, to discuss how he's learnt to love his d**k. Prepare for an empowering mental health chat:

Lil Dicky explained the 'spirit' of his rap name was 'based off of the bleak truth of growing up and immediately having to get operated on on my d**k'.

He continues: "It's called Hypospadias. There were several operations. [...] I don't even know all the facts at hand, because I was so young.

"[...] My urethra was so tangled. My mum said it was like a corkscrew."

As per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: "Hypospadias is a birth defect in boys in which the opening of the urethra is not located at the tip of the penis.

"In boys with hypospadias, the urethra forms abnormally during weeks eight–14 of pregnancy. The abnormal opening can form anywhere from just below the end of the penis to the scrotum."

In most cases, the condition can be corrected with one or multiple surgeries.

Lil Dicky had a condition called Hypospadias when he was born.

The rapper explained how doctors 'predicted' he wouldn't be able to wee or ejaculate 'right'.

"I was like overly circumcised. I did get circumcised too. They had to fix the tangled urethra, on top of that there was the Hypospadias that isn't necessarily - it's really a mislocated pee hole."

Using a prop, Lil Dicky explains: "Right here in the middle is where most guys pee holes are, mine is there. As if I didn't have enough problems, when I piss it's two holes."

The condition is basically a 'mislocated pee-hole' the rapper explains.

This impacted the rapper's mental health and attitude towards sexual partners.

He had a lot of anxiety when it came to sexual encounters, saying: "Like I was hanging out two girls and felt both their breasts at the same time and then they said now let us feel your d**k.

"It was like a siren, as if a bomb got dropped and all I heard was the white noise and I had to make up an excuse as to why I wasn't ready."

But when he lost his virginity, Lil Dicky recalled a sense of 'relief', saying: "I just remember my main thought being, 'Oh my god, it functions. My d**k functions.'

"And it was such a relief in that sense. I was so nervous it wouldn't be big enough or be the right angle when a girl comes on top."

Lil Dicky feels like it 'totally shaped [his] personality'.

The rapper admitted he used to 'cry in front of [his] parents about [his] d**k size,' because it weighed on his mind so heavily.

But after being so open about his insecurities within his career as a rapper, it helped alleviate some of the negative mental health effects and pressure he'd previously felt.

"I love my penis like you love a flawed Pixar character.” he added.
