Mark Wahlberg has opened up about his future in Hollywood, admitting that he 'doesn’t think he’ll be acting much longer'.
The 52-year-old actor rose to fame as a rapper as part of the hip hop group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch in the early ‘90s.
After his hip hop career came to an end, he shifted into film by making his screen debut in Renaissance Man in 1992, which then led to major roles in the teen thriller Fear.

He went on to receive critical acclaim for his role as porn star Dirk Diggler in Boogie Nights, leading to a raft of headlining roles in films like The Departed, Ted and the Transformers franchise.
Wahlberg spoke with Cigar Aficionado for the publication’s September/October issue, where he opened up about his career so far and his plans for the future plus his business endeavors.
When asked about where he sees himself in the future, the two-time Academy Award winner said: “Well, I’m certainly working harder now than ever.
"Certain businesses, you kind of build them, pass them on or you exit. Hopefully my kids, we’ll see what their interests are, but I don’t think that I’ll be acting that much longer at the pace I am now.
“That’s for sure. Because that’s the most difficult thing.”

The father-of-four has had a slew of films released in the last few years, including Uncharted, Me Time, Father Stu and films waiting for a release like, Arthur the King, Our Man from Jersey, The Family Plan.
Wahlberg is credited as a producer on the majority of his recent films, which he addressed in an interview.
“I started becoming a producer out of necessity,” he shared. “I didn’t want to sit around waiting for Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise or whoever was already established before me and were the guys at the time, and Leo [DiCaprio] to go and pass on a movie until I could get my hands on it.
"I was always proactive in trying to find material and things that I could produce, that I knew was right for me, create my own destiny.”
On top of his filming schedule, Wahlberg previously went viral in 2018 for his brutal routine where revealed that he would wake up at 2:30am, eat breakfast at 3:15 a.m. and do his first workout of the day between 3:40 a.m and 5:15 a.m.

In 2022, the actor was asked about his viral daily routine and confirmed that he'd switched things up a bit and his new schedule isn’t as savage.
