Millie Bobby Brown is looking forward to saying goodbye to Stranger Things as it 'takes up a lot of time'

Millie Bobby Brown says says 'ready' to bid farewell to the Netflix series that propelled her into stardom.

Millie Bobby Brown is ready for pastures new.

The 19-year-old star is preparing to bid farewell to Netflix's hit series Stranger Things, which propelled her into stardom back in 2016.

The show, which stars the likes of Winona Ryder, David Harbour and Matthew Modine alongside Brown, is set to come to an end next year.

An official release date for the fifth and final season hasn't been confirmed yet, but it's expected to land sometime in early 2024.

While Stranger Things fans are gutted that it's ending, Brown is looking forward to saying goodbye to it.

"Stranger Things takes up a lot of time to film and it’s preventing me from creating stories that I’m passionate about," the Enola Holmes star told Variety.

"So I’m ready to say, ‘Thank you, and goodbye’.”

But Brown, who plays Eleven in the hit TV show, went on to say that Stranger Things gave her 'the tools and the resources to be a better actor'.

Most actors who have starred on a series are sad to say goodbye to their colleagues, but Brown insisted: "When it ends, I’m going to be able to still see these people."

Since starring in Stranger Things, Brown has gone on to work with a host of huge names; from Henry Cavill and Helena Bonham Carter, to Alexander Skarsgård and Sally Hawkins.

Another famous face she's currently working with is Guardians of the Galaxy favourite Chris Pratt.

The pair are starring in the upcoming film The Electric State together, which is set to hit cinemas next year.

"It’s a very exciting opportunity that I never thought I’d be able to have, to be able to be treated the same as him and to be looked at and respected the same as him on the set by the production, by the studio," the 19-year-old told Glamour about working with Pratt in the movie.

The synopsis for the 2024 film reads: "With humans isolated in their VR helmets and a continuing battle against a strange breed of monstrous drones in the wake of a technological meltdown, a teenage girl named Michelle and a robot travel the West Coast of the U.S in search of the girl's missing brother."

Not only has Brown been successful in her career, she's also been lucky in love.

The young actress is engaged to Bon Jovi's son Jake, 21, after he popped the question to her earlier this year.

It's unclear when they're set to wed, but it's thought that they're currently busy planning their big day.
