Olivia Wilde has responded to rumours she cheated with Harry Styles ahead of the release of her film Don't Worry Darling.
Taking into account the apparent beef between Florence Pugh and Wilde, the conflicting claims that Wilde may or may not have fired Shia LaBeouf, and the whole 'did Styles spit on Chris Pine' debacle, it's safe to say a lot of people are talking about Don't Worry Darling.
The film hasn't even been released in cinemas, yet the rumour mill continues to churn out claims and speculation, among which is the suggestion that Wilde cheated on her former partner, Jason Sudeikis, with Styles.
Wilde split from the Ted Lasso star in November 2020 after the pair welcomed two children together, and just two months later she was pictured holding hands with Styles, who went on to land a role in her film as husband to Pugh's character.

Some internet users took the short amount of time between news of the couple's split and Wilde's closeness with the former One Direction singer as indication that Wilde and Styles must have started dating while she was still with Sudeikis, however Wilde has now shut those rumours down, leaving no room for uncertainty.
Commenting on the allegations, Wilde told Vanity Fair: “The complete horsesh*t idea that I left Jason for Harry is completely inaccurate. Our relationship was over long before I met Harry. Like any relationship that ends, it doesn’t end overnight. Unfortunately, Jason and I had a very bumpy road, and we officially dissolved the relationship towards the beginning of the pandemic."
Wilde went on to explain that she and Sudeikis co-parented their two children as they raised them during the coronavirus lockdowns, but that it eventually became clear that their cohabiting was 'no longer beneficial for the children'.

At that point, Wilde explained, "it became the responsible thing to not [live together], because we could be better parents as friends who live in different houses.”

"But, yeah,” she continued, “I don’t understand the need to create false narratives and drama around this kind of stuff. It’s like, haven’t the kids been through enough?"
Earlier this year, Wilde was unexpectedly served court papers by Sudeikis in the midst of an appearance at CinemaCon. She initially joked the envelope handed to her was 'a script', but quickly went on with her presentation after realising what it really contained.
The mother and film director said she has been very 'up front' with her children about the splitting of their parents, and explained they 'understand the concept of making decisions to protect yourself and to live an authentic, happy life'
"I evolved a lot between when I was 27 and 35. I found myself as a director. And I think I found myself as an individual. And sometimes when you evolve, you evolve out of relationships that were based on an earlier version of yourself," she said.
