Snoop Dogg Mocked For Calling Out Delivery Driver Who Didn't Deliver Food

The internet has launched to the defence of an Uber Eats driver after Snoop Dogg took to social media to call them out.

The rapper took to Instagram to share a video of messages sent between himself and an employee of the food delivery service from Thursday, January 27, at around 11.00pm.

However, the 50-year-old musician has since been called out by users over his expectations of the driver and the way he spoke about them.

In the video, the driver and Snoop Dogg can be seen struggling to communicate as to where the employee should deliver the food, The Independent reports.

At 10.41pm, the driver's messages read: 'I've arrived. I've arrived. Hello. Plz calll not sure where to leave your order. Hello.'

By 10.49pm, the driver notes: 'This is not a safe place.'

Snoop Dogg then replies: 'Yes it is pull up to the gate. The black Gate. N drop. Off the food I paid 4. [sic]'

Alongside the video of the messages, the rapper can be heard calling the delivery driver a 'motherf*cker from Uber Eats,' alongside a 'punk motherf*cker,' continuing to swear as he scrolls through the chat.

The rapper captioned the post: 'Uber eats where my food at... Post mates holla at me.'

However, the internet was left divided over Snoop Dogg's post, with some agreeing that the lack of communication and driver's messages were worthy of such complaints, but most expressing their strong disagreement over the strength of the rapper's comments and his lack of understanding. One wrote: 'Snoop, I know you were upset, but next time, leave a better note, leave a better tip, and monitor the app.'

Another said: 'Excuse me. Don’t speak to gig drivers that way, that will get you banned from using delivery services. Also, the driver doesn’t ‘have your money.’ UE has it. If you know you’re expecting a delivery, maybe pay attention to your phone in case there’s an issue.'

A third commented: 'As an Uber Eats/Postmates Driver (THEY’RE THE SAME COMPANY, SNOOP!) the driver did sh*t by the book. Sorry man, but it’s the truth. We have a timer that we wait on, after that, we’re free to go if the customer doesn’t reply with that time. Time is money in this business. There are other orders to deliver and $$ to be made!'

According to Uber's website, after a certain number of attempts to deliver a customer's food drivers can cancel the order.

It reads: 'If you’re unable to find the customer when delivering, you can call or message them in the app. If they don’t answer, you can tap the banner that appears to indicate that they didn’t answer. This will send them a notifications. If they don’t contact you quickly, you can follow the prompts to end the delivery.'

Another user pointed out the targeting nature and risk to someone's safety that Snoop Dogg exhibited by posting the driver's 'car and licence plate too'.

'Now he about to sue your a** cuz you shared his plate make and model car number,' another said.

One concluded: 'Instead of harassing decent ppl trying to make a dollar use some of those millions to get off your a** and get your food.'
