Your wedding day might be something you’ve been planning ever since you were small, that’s how much thought goes into the special day.
The worst thing that can happen, which those of us who tried to get married during the dreaded Covid will know, is when something rocks your day and it ends up becoming memorable for all the wrong reasons. Everyone deserves their special day, so when something goes wrong, it really, really sucks.

This is something Arizona bride, Holliann Tran, knows all too well after she was left in tears on her wedding day due to a nightmare myriad of issues, including neighbour complaints and a failure by the venue to secure the correct permit, which ended up shutting down the entire service.
The bride and groom rented what they thought was a isolated but beautiful three-home-property spot called ‘Wrangler’s Roost’ in New River, Arizona, as the couple excitedly booked their day for November 2022.
The place they chose to book clearly advertised that the space was to be used for private events, which is exactly what the couple we’re looking for.
The distraught bride told 12 News: “We had a beautiful 10-minute ceremony, and then as soon as we turned the DJ on, it was like the police were there.”

“The police were like, ‘We have to shut it down.’ And I was like 'you’re joking, this can’t be real'. And they said, ‘No, you rented a venue that’s not actually a venue,’ and I just start instantly bawling.”
“It’s a gorgeous place. Just the desert scenery is really, really beautiful,” Trab told the outlet.
“I thought it would be a really place for everybody to meet in the middle and we found a venue that would allow parties.”

However, just minutes after they exchanged vows and started to celebrate their new chapter as Mr and Mrs, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office broke some devastating news to the newlyweds.
Just 10 minutes into their wedding, police arrived and told the couple they ‘had to shut everything down’ as they were not in a ‘valid’ location.
“The issue is this is not a valid location,” an officer explained to Tran.
“Maricopa County zoning and ordinance have already told them to cease and desist if they country to operate.”
If you're wondering how the police could have known and caught up with the couple in time, it turns out the neighbors (the term is used loosely, they were 600 feet away...) made a noise complaint about the wedding celebrations and tipped the police off about the location not being ‘valid’.

The owners of the Wranglers Roost have now received 61 complaints about them hosting illegal events on their property without a permit since July 2021, and have racked up at least $70,000 in fines.
“The owners of this property are running a business out of what should be their residential home because it’s not zoned for commercial,” Sgt. Joaquin Enriquez, with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, told the outlet.
