An unarmed truck driver was attacked by a police dog, despite surrendering to the cops moments before.
The incident occurred on 4 July after driver Jadarrius Rose, 23, failed to stop for an inspector, who noticed his trailer was missing ‘a left rear mud flap’.
Despite the minor vehicle flaw, footage shows that a dog was later deployed on the 23-year-old man.
In the shocking bodycam video, released by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Rose can be seen with his hands raised as officers call instructions to the unarmed driver.

To the side of him are two patrol cars, from which yet more officers emerge - along with a Circleville police dog.
As state troopers and police officers respond to the incident, one man can be heard calling: "Do not release the dog with his hands up!"
Though he says it several times, the dog rushes towards the driver with it biting and pulling Rose by his arm.
He repeatedly screams: “Get it off!”

In the resulting chaos, one trooper shouts: "Get the dog off of him!"
Later on in the video, Rose is handcuffed on the ground and speaking with officers.
Rose was treated and released from a nearby hospital before being taken to the Ross County Jail, according to a case report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
He was charged with failure to comply with an order, a felony which carries between a six and 18-month prison sentence.

The Ross County Prosecutor’s Office told CNN, he was then released from custody on 7 July, adding the office is still collecting evidence before it determines whether to move forward with the charge against him.
Local authorities have launched their own investigation into the use of force by the police staff.
A review board is set to give its findings next week, with Circleville Mayor Don McIlroy and Police Chief G. Shawn Baer confirming this to the press in a statement.

On Monday (24 July), McIlroy identified the officer who deployed the dog as Officer Ryan Speakman. He has since been placed on paid administrative leave.
It is unclear whether he will face any charges or disciplinary action.
Meanwhile, an alleged 911 call from Rose was released by Ross County Sheriff's office earlier this week.
According to CNN, a dispatcher heard how the 23-year-old initially pulled over but fled after seeing offices with their guns ‘drawn’.

“I don’t know why they’re trying to kill me,” Rose told the dispatcher, who tried to reassure him that they were not.
He later added: “I do not feel safe with stopping.”
Despite this, state troopers went on to use a tire-deflating device twice, before the 23-year-old eventually stopped on Route 23.
