Horror fans are just realizing these 'must-watch' films are all on Netflix

Are you really a true horror fan if you haven't seen these three releases?

There are three 'must watch' movies on Netflix US which you've got to see if you're a true horror fan.

The reason people enjoy horror films so much defeats me. The scariest film I can muster myself to watch - and still very much through fingers clenched over my eyes - is Coraline.

However, if there's nothing you love more than snuggling down on a Friday evening with a takeaway to get the living daylights frightened out of you, then there's three horror movies which you've got to have seen to classify yourself as a true fan of the genre. So, in no particular order:

Annabelle

A user took to LADbible Facebook Group 'Netflix Bangers' to reveal their top 'must-watch' horror movies and first up available to watch in the US is Annabelle.

The 2014 release is truly the stuff of nightmares. You may've thought the tales of dolls you shared at childhood sleepovers were scary enough, but this film written by Gary Dauberman and directed by John R. Leonetti brings them to life.

Prequel and spin-off to 2013 release The Conjuring, the film sees a doctor give his pregnant wife a porcelain doll, however, after a traumatic event, the doll can no longer be looked upon as a sweet gift.

"This movie made me reconsider my choice of watching horror movie," a Facebook user said.

Home for Rent

The 2023 release sees the tenants of a home start terrorizing the home owners of the property.

The horror has achieved a solid audience score of 74 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

Malignant

And the final film to be suggested by another horror fan in the comments section is Malignant.

Directed by James Wan, the film sees a woman's terrifying visions not stay simply as visions.

Starring Peaky Blinders' Annabelle Wallis, The Finder's Maddie Hasson and George Young, the movie achieved an average audience score of 52 percent but officially fresh Tomatometer score of 77 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

Oh, and if you've already seen all those, congratulations, you're a true horror fan, but can you make it through a horror which has seen viewers forced to turn off their TV after barely making it three minutes in? Or there's Netflix series Haunted or Dead of Summer to add to your 'To Watch' list too.
